The first step in keeping you and your family safe from fire is maintaining a fire-safe home. To get started, just read the preventative instructions below and click through each one to find out how to spot and remove fire hazards.

  • Maintain lighting fixtures, and keep halogen bulbs out of reach <more>
  • Beware of family members and visitors who smoke <more>
  • Look beneath the sinks and around the house for flammable items. Safely discard or move them to a safe area <more>
