FDNY EMS Community CPR Training Program
If a cardiac arrest happened to someone you love, would you know how to perform life-saving CPR? The FDNY EMS Community CPR Training Program teaches groups of individuals to confidently learn the necessary skills to perform CPR to a friend or family member if needed.
The program travels to neighborhoods and offices in all 5 boroughs and is run by the Department's Mobile CPR Training Unit. Classes are taught by American Heart Association Certified CPR instructors. The class provides a good working knowledge of CPR for the non-professional and is not designed designed for certification. Participants learn core CPR skills in less then an hour. You'll get hands-on instruction and a CPR kit to use for practice at home.
Classes are available in English or Spanish. To schedule a class, you need 6 to 20 participants and adequate space for the number of participants. The classes are not available in private homes. For more information, call (718) 281-3888.
The FDNY EMS Community CPR Training Program may not be possible without your generous support. Please consider making an online donation today to help the FDNY Foundation continue providing funds to the Department for this and other public safety education programs.
